Wente Vineyards Morning Fog Chardonnay

I recently returned from a whirlwind adventure to Southern California, with a great stop at the Disneyland Resort.  Here we wined and dined and played.  Going to Disneyland, relaxing by the pool, sipping some wine, and enjoying the beauty of wonderful friendships.  I love to get away!  But, when it all comes to down to it, there is really no place like home, especially when your home is in the beautiful Livermore Valley.  Nothing compares to preparing dinner in the kitchen while my husband is out barbecuing and the kids are busy playing and running around in the back yard.  It may not be a huge home or an elaborate home, in fact it’s a cozy little cottage that I can run to and find the people who I love the most. My family.

It’s with these thoughts of sentiment and affection that I pour myself a lovely glass of Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay.  One of my top 5 wines in this world would have to be Wente Riva Ranch.  So, I decided that the makers of that fantastic gem would surely make other Chardonnays that would at least compare.  Morning Fog is not the same as Riva Ranch, for that is a stand-alone wine.  However, Morning Fog, in and of itself, is a wonderful treat on a warm spring day.  It is crisp with notes of apple blossom, peach and strawberry.  Quite dry and thirst quenching.  This golden splendor is a perfect wine to bring with you on a romantic picnic or to a friend’s house for dinner.  A rose in a sea of thorns, I recommend Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay anytime you would like a wine that you can depend on to be delicious.
