Lovell Creek 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon

My Uncle and Aunt brought their family over to our house yesterday to celebrate the 4th of July with Rachel and I.  Upon seeing each other, the children ran off together to play games and get ready for the nights festivities.  It didn’t take me long to notice the wine bottle sitting on the counter, which had not been there moments before.  My Aunt told me it was just a little something they had brought over to enjoy with us.

I looked at the label and found it was a Lovell Creek 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon out of the Livermore Valley.  I was unfamiliar with this winery, but learned that this Cabernet was one of my Uncle’s favorites.

My Uncle and I each had a glass of the Lovell Creek Cabernet with dinner and I loved what I tasted.  This is a wine I would recommend and hopefully will be enjoying again in the near future.

Once the fireworks were over and everyone went home, I decided to do a little research on the internet in order to find out a little bit more about Lovell Creek.  It was difficult to find information on this wine, but it appeared that Lovell Creek was actually the name the Rios-Lovell 2004 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, was bottled under.  This wine has won both silver in the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and bronze in the San Francisco International Wine Competition.  If anyone has any more information on this wine please let me know.

I love finding new great wines.
