BoaVentura de Caires Winery, fun for the kids too…

Just this past weekend, we had a chance to visit BoaVentura de Caires Winery here in Livermore.  I was excited to try it because I’ve never been there and because they are only open once a month.  Julia and I decided to take our kids along with us.  We heard there were a few things for them to do and see while the parents enjoyed a few tastings.  We were pleasantly surprised at the property as we drove up the driveway off Tesla.  Lots of room, great music, Bocce Ball court, picnic tables, hammock to relax on and a few animals to see.  The Bocce Ball court is right outside the tasting room which made it easy for Julia and I to taste great wine as we played a game with the kids.  We tried their new White Table Wine which was great, a few solid Cabernets, and their Livermore Syrah.  I have to say I enjoyed their Syrah the most.  Full bodied, jammy with hints of peppar. Went perfect with the experience at the Bocce Ball court, walking along the grape vines, and relaxing on the hammock.  A great day for all, we ended up at Strizzi’s restaurant here in Livermore for an early dinner.  We brought a bottle of BoaVentura Syrah to enjoy.  Free corkage at Strizzi’s with a great dinner.
