Cuda Ridge Shares New Releases at First Street Wine Shop

Last night Larry Dino was on deck at the First Street Wine Shop previewing Cuda Ridge’s newest wine releases.  Being a big fan of Cuda Ridge, I knew that this was an event to attend!  Before heading over, I ran into Swirl and grabbed Nichole so that I would have a buddy to compare notes with.  Well, let’s face it, if you know Nichole, she’s a great person to hang out with too 🙂

Larry was pouring 5 new wines:

2010 Sauvignon Blanc, 2009 Merlot, 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2009 Black Label Small Lot Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2009 Petit Verdot.  All wines listed, aside from the Black Label Cab, are crafted Bordeaux Style.  Larry considers his Black Label Cab a New World Style wine.  Though I enjoyed all 5, my favorites were the 2009 Merlot and the 2009 Black Label Cab.  I have mentioned before, several times, that I am generally not a Merlot fan, but, wow, this one was really great.  It is a blend of 77% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Malbec.

Larry will also be pouring his new releases at Swirl on the Square this coming Thursday, June 30th.  If you have some free time, you will want to come out and try these fantastic wines.  If you cannot make it out, be sure to visit Cuda Ridge’s tasting room at 5385 East Avenue in Livermore.  Their tasting room is open Friday – Sunday from 12 – 4:30.

Cheers to Cuda Ridge and their new releases!
