New releases from Livermore's own Crooked Vine Stony Ridge Wineries

Just last weekend Julia and I had a chance to visit Livermore’s own Crooked Vine Stony Ridge Wineries.  I still cannot believe the gems that are here in my own backyard called Livermore.  Crooked Vine Stony Ridge is a gem alright, let me tell you.  The moment you walk in to the winery there are warm faces greet you.  The last few times we visited to taste, Michelle poured for us.  She remembered the Bryersantis group by our love for a good Zinfandel.  Well, when Julia and I walked in we were glad to see Michelle pouring again.  The place was packed but she still made Julia and I feel welcome, like we were the only people there to taste.  Speaking of taste, they have some new releases that you NEED to try!  Trust me, they were all unbelievable.

Here they are, the new releases.

2009 Crooked Vine 2009 “Moxie”  “Back cherry, cassis, and raspberry fruit with cedar and chocolate plus roast coffee notes from the barrel.”  This is one outstanding red blend!

2008 Crooked Vine Estate Cabernet Sauvignon “Black cherry, berry fruit, with cedar and roast coffee notes.  Forward black cherry flavors with soft tannins on the finish.”

2009 Crooked Vine Petite Verdot “Cranberry, currant and red plum fruit with an elegant finish.”

2009 Stony Ridge Zinfandel “Raspberry and red cherry with vanilla, pepper and spice.  Fruit driven soft tannin finish.”

2009 Stony Ridge Merlot “Berry and cherry fruit with a touch of cedar and tobacco.  Long finish with soft, supple tannins.”

Seriously, Every new release we tried was phenomenal.  How often does that happen?  It’s pretty rare to love an entire selection of wine in one tasting experience.  My favorite?  The  Zinfandel, surprised?  Michelle knows me best!  If you haven’t been out to Crooked Vine Stony Ridge Wineries please go out and experience one of Livermore’s finest.  Tell Michelle that Bryersantis sent you.  Comment back with your experience.  Cheers!
