Wineries Come Together For A Night Of Bocce Competition

This evening Rachel, the kids, and I had the opportunity to experience what has become a Livermore Valley tradition.  It is the gathering of the wineries of the Livermore Valley at Campo di Bocce for a little wine, a lot of food, and a good helping of that competitive spirit.

We were invited by Collin Cranor to join up with the Nottingham Cellars team and I was ready to strike fear into the hearts of my Concannon opponents with my carefully honed bowling skills.  Unfortunately, due to excuses too numerous to count, I found that even though I came to play, my game didn’t.  The score did not reflect the true potential that team NC possessed, but our routing was made considerably easier with chance to spend time with good friends while drinking some of the best wine in the valley.

Nottingham Cellars has been producing some fantastic wines and I am excited that their Viognier a part of our upcoming Summer Quarterly Report at the Winemaker’s Pour House.  This Viognier is one of those wines that is a perfect fit on those hot summer days.  We have thrown in some unconventional touches in with this wine flight that will be sure to please the senses.

Join us at the Winemaker’s Pour House on July 15th between 3 and 7 for the release of the 2012 Summer Quarterly Report.
